The Goldfish key
Press one key in any text field and Goldfish writes there, using the on-screen context.
The headline feature: press the Goldfish key in any text field and Goldfish writes there, using the on-screen context. It works in email, docs, chat apps, browsers, basically anywhere there is a text box.

The key can be changed in Settings under Shortcuts. There is also a fallback chord: Cmd+Shift+G on Mac, Win+Shift+G on Windows. Details on every shortcut are on the Shortcuts page.
What a tap does
- Tap with an instruction typed in the field: Goldfish treats the text as the instruction, does the work, and replaces it with the result. Write “invite the team to lunch on Friday, casual” in an empty email and tap.
- Tap with text selected: only the selection is rewritten. The rest of the field is left alone.
- Tap in an empty field: Goldfish infers a draft from the conversation or page around the field, in your tone. In a chat thread this means a reply that fits what is being said.
- Start the field with /g: talk to Goldfish directly (“answer this question”, not “rewrite this text”). The answer is written into the field.
While it works
A small goldfish appears by the caret. Clicking the fish or pressing Esc cancels. The field is never touched until the result is ready, so you can keep reading while Goldfish writes.
